WHAT IS THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE?
Morrow County Chamber of Commerce & Visitor’s Bureau is a voluntary organization comprised of businesses, governmental agencies, social service groups, and individuals throughout the County. Its purpose is to unite business and professional persons and firms in a central group to improve the business and economic environment in the community.
The Chamber organizes and directs the energies of those who believe that a community worth living and working in is a community worth improving.

The Chamber empowers its members to accomplish collectively what no one member can do individually. The strength of the organization lies in attracting the greatest number of individuals and businesses into membership, creating a pool of resources – natural and human – from which can be drawn ideas, energy, and strength.
WHAT DOES THE CHAMBER DO?
The major responsibility of the Chamber is the community’s economic well being. The Chamber works to increase wealth and prosperity by facilitating the growth of existing businesses and fostering new businesses. This new wealth can be directed towards establishing and improving civic, educational, and cultural facilities necessary to create the proper business climate for new economic growth.
CHAMBER OBJECTIVES:
Promote understanding and support of the private enterprise system.
Provide counseling, planning assistance, and support to businesses
Coordinate efforts to maintain and strengthen a healthy business climate
Provide creative business leadership and coordination of interested parties in
community problem solving.
WHAT MAKES THE CHAMBER WORK?
Members: The Chamber is a voluntary association of business and professional persons in Morrow County and includes representatives of every type of community activity.
Board of Directors: The governing body is the Board, which consist of 12 persons elected by the membership. The Board is responsible for establishing policies and priorities for addressing the needs of the business community.
Staff: The Chamber maintains a full-time office and employs an Executive Director, Administrative
Assistant.
Committees: The working structure consists of several committees, made up of Board members and Chamber members, directed by the Executive Director.
